Block & Mute
Solar Network provides two mechanisms to control your interactions with other users: Block and Mute.
Block
Blocking a user creates a mutual interaction restriction. Neither you nor the blocked user can see or interact with each other.
When you block someone:
- Their posts are hidden from your feed and timeline
- You cannot reply to, react to, forward, boost, or award their posts
- Their messages and notifications are suppressed
- Direct messages between you are blocked
- They are hidden from search and autocomplete
- Follow requests between you are blocked
Mute
Muting a user is one-directional. You stop seeing the muted user's content, but they are unaffected.
When you mute someone:
- Their posts are hidden from your feed and timeline
- You stop receiving notifications from them
- They can still interact with your content normally

|---|---|---|
| Direction | Mutual | One-directional |
